FARMING
Our philosphy of farming is sustainable and holds organic principles central to our work.

We purchased our 600ha farm, 'Charlemont', in the Derwent Valley in mid 2004.  Our first crop of malting barley was planted that year.  Our herd of Black Angus cattle soon followed.

In 2008 our small hop field was planted with original cuttings taken from Bushy Park.  The property shearing shed was also converted to a brewery in that same year.

We have declared a Private Forest Reserve over 250Ha of our property, protecting this asset for wildlife in perpetuity.  We farm the rest.
